Today Digital Court Reporting is becoming the new standard for many courtrooms across the country. As technology evolves, the new standard of recording the official record is now Digital Court Reporting.
Digital Court Reporters utilize multiple microphones and a laptop to record the speakers in the room while simultaneously taking notes on a regular keyboard. Upon request, recordings and the typed record are transcribed after the conclusion of the proceeding.
A Digital Court Reporter must possess proficiency in understanding the necessary equipment and it’s upkeep/maintenance, specialized software, data handling & protection, familiarity with legal proceedings & terminology.
At Allegiant Digital Reporting Program, our curriculum will thoroughly prepare you for a career as a Digital Court Reporter upon completion. It’s not just about theories and processes, we focus on practical real-world training, in addition to providing the coursework to become a Certified Digital Court Reporter recognized nationally by the AAERT.
